Saying: "I *trust* you've read the faq" suggests that there is no evidence to support that fact. In other words, that the image does not demonstrate that the faqs had been read and that therefore it has faults.
If "I *see* you've read the faq" had been written then it would've implied that the image conformed to requirements.
Sorry if this sounds a bit pompous - didn't mean it to.
