# Aww, they seem fairly unfazed by it all
they must be quietly hard as nails.

# penguins are among nature's greatest stoics.
Think about it - standing around through an Antarctic winter with an egg balanced on your feet - you'd need to be pretty tolerant...

# Well it's their fault for choosing 'penguin'
having said that, I wish I'd chosen 'house cat'.

# They do have the life...
although I was at a barbie this weekend, and the (fairly old) cat woke up from its taxing all-afternoon nap, kind of strolled out into the back garden not really noticing much, and then did one of the most impressive vertical take-offs I've seen from anything that wasn't packing a pair of Hawker Siddley jet engines and stood on the wall with an expression of 'WTF?! You've let children AND a dog into my garden' and prceeded to give all of us evils for the next 10 minutes before going off to kill something much smaller than itself.

Which I think is a very long winded way of saying 'house cat' isn't always beer and skittles...

# Much better than human though.
Human life is far too stressful, I just want to lie in a sunbeam and have a doze.

# Cats have no word for work.
SCIENCETM has demonstrated this to be the case.

# Work, to a cat, is having to listen to our drivel when we get home.
That's it.

# we found some new kittehs
a lady with spazy legs, very friendly. And a tiny little kitten.

We're going to get the lady because she'll be happy living in the flat and the little kitten might get lonely, but it was very hard to leave the young one at the cat centre. It was ridiculously luvleh.
