because of twats on the web spouting catchprhases.

Thanksfully GlaDOS has many excellent lines and the "cake is a lie" thing didn;t annoy me too much.

And the credits music's bloody fantastic.

I hate those puzzle games, played Half Life for the atmosphere.. But yes Portal was top notch!

I did it in 2 sittings too

and then indeed wanted one for real.
Depressingly, I'd most likely just put one in a locked office at work and the other in my closet at home.

a number of games, mostly Titan Quest: Immortal Throne have had their claws into me too much for me to go back and do all the challenge levels though.
