# I think I'll have to read Watchmen.
I've heard so much about it on here and now they're bringing a film out. If I read it before the film is released then I'll be able to pretend I'm an old die-hard fan and can act pretentious when people like it because of the film.

# It's mentioned a lot as it was a comic which was annualised and made graphic novel annual collections more common, apart from having literature awards.
Personally I think it is good, but not without its faults. There are elements in the writing, especially the book within a book in it which could have been laid out better and been easier to follow, or at least more subtly woven in. V for Vendetta in my opinion is far superior.

The film looks quite good, it looks gritty, cool, dark. However Watchmen wasn't really gritty or dark, you can just look at the contrast ratio on the trailer of the lights and darks, whereas the Watchmen comic was a sort of brownish saturated greyey colour as a lot of comics at the time were, which I think sort of added to the feeling of grim and seediness rather than hot kicking noir type stuff.

# Well you certainly know your shit.
Just as I expected. I'll look into Watchmen and V for Vendetta. It's not like I have to pay for them anyway. Hopefully I'll get a quiet day tomorrow to read them.

# Not really, I just have read a few comics, pretty much the ones I listed bar a few marvel and other ones which weren't very good.
I just have a ridiculously high level of criticism FOR EVERYTHING!

I even managed to find faults with the writing in The Count of Monte Cristo for christ's sake.
