# Five stones in eight weeks?
Seriously?

Makes my 3/4 of a stone in the same time period look pretty piss poor...

# yep.
i am surviving on mostly cup-a-soup and vitamin supplements.
not hungry, though.

# It's not the hunger that gets me actually...
It's the insane making cravings for something gooey and chocolately that are making it difficult...

30g of fat a day tops... If I'm REALLY good I can lick a digestive biscuit for afters...

# i've had a severe craving for bakewell tart for about 3 weeks
but if i eat anything sweet now, i shake, feel sick and get a headache for 2 days. it's easy to say no to chocolate now.

# I want one of your things... even if I have to go to Hull to get it....
That sounds like the ideal cure for my sweet tooth...

I know it's meant to take only 9 days for sugar addiction to be beaten, but after years of abuse, my cold turkey is only just starting to kick in at eight weeks...

# the only thing i really miss is dr. pepper
i'd get the diet stuff, but my stomach is too small to handle anything fizzy.
(, Fri 12 Sep 2008, 13:04, archived)
# Again - keeping me off the fizzy can only be a good thing...
It's my ancestry that makes me drink IRN BRU, honest!

# it's my ancestry that makes me fat
almost all of my family are porkers, i just turned it into an art form :D

# 5 stones? that's just cer-azy!
an my missus thought she was doing well losing a few stone over 6 months!

did you get it on the nhs?
(, Fri 12 Sep 2008, 12:36, archived)
# yep.
the surgeon who was meant to do it locally spent his entire budget in 3 months, so i got farmed out to a tiny private hospital in hull, of all places. the hospital was lovely, but hull is shite.
(, Fri 12 Sep 2008, 12:39, archived)
# you have discovered a use for hull
this could be very profound

# if not apocalyptic
they do have a good aquarium there, i made my sister take me round it when i got out. 2 hours of looking at(mostly) sharks whilst covered in plasters, drip holes and bruises, all topped off with a delightfully sexy pair of anti-thrombosis stockings
