True, most of the book's point is in the second halfand most of that comes across in Alex's thoughts and the motives of the government which Stanley omitted. Stanley also left out the epilogue, which pissed me off.

The epiloguewasn't in the edition Kubrick read - but he didn't like it when he read it afterwards anyway.
