Thing is with Donnie Darko fans...

... you tell them: 'Ok, it was okay.' and they'll beat you to death chanting 'You just didn't get it!!! Best movie ever!!! Die!' (Despite the fact that the movie is more or less about the book of the old lady which actually exists and explains everything)

i really liked that film

until I looked up all the time travel stuff and that kinda ruined it for me. Seemed like bollocks.
