
I have a new typewriter! It's a Royal! It was sitting on our apartment porch for awhile and I took it. IT'S HELLA OLD. IT'S FUN. IT'S MECHANICAL AND STRANGE.

i gave away or sold my three a few years ago. one woman who i bartered with was dismantling them and using the parts in art projects - she gave me a couple of switchplate covers and other stuff she made for them.

but then I started figuring out how it worked and put some paper in it and found out the ribbon was still good and fell in love with it.
You write much differently with them. I wrote my friend a letter in the style of Lucky from Waiting for Godot as it just started kind of flowing out of me.

i mostly write longhand or print with a marker or pencil. trivial stuff gets email, but i try and make my brain think like i'm actually writing more attentively when i can.
take a pic of it sometime, i'd like to see it.
