It's also not helped by a Media who seem to think that every fan believes we're a top-four side; we don't! We're just fed up of the club being dragged through the mud by mercenary players and successive boards who take advantage of the fan's loyalty and treat the club with contempt.

...if not British society as a whole- then we'd start to see some slightly more reasoned analysis of matches/general team performance.

The amounts of money involved in the prem leage is just obscene; Lampard being paid £120,000 a WEEK is just disgusting!
I think you'll find a lot of prem league supporters deserting it in favour of lower leage clubs because it's more accessible to the 'normal' fan; not just coporate sponsors.
