Edit: it appears to be only 3 frames... odd.
I suggest making the pic a bit smaller, and taking diffusion off, as well as adding 10-15 lossy.

GIMP reckoned this was an RGB GIF (not indexed). Looking at the optimized version it creates, shows that many of the dithered pixels change frame on frame, hence it's huge file size. I dropped the colours to 63, and tightly cropped the resulting frames and got it to a healthy 25.6kb
