because they can afford the £25k a lap * 25 cars for ~50 laps... so someone's paying a lot to see it, it just doesn't get me going.
Similarly football. I find it hard to get interested. Rugby, Shinty, Hurling, Skateboarding, something where someone can REALLY hurt themselves without the aid of an engine - I'm in.
I think I'd quite like watching lower league football, but I don't do it that much (used to follow Stirling Albion a wee bit)

I'm odd with rugger too.
I played union at school and as a late teen, league for the local club and I enjoyed it immensely. I absolutely refuse to watch it on TV as it bores me to death. To the point that if the social club in my home town has a rugby match on the large screen ( it's a rugby town , we fight for what gets on the big screen in the main room ) and there are not enough people to argue for whatever football match is on then I'll leave and go to the pub.
Odd, but it takes all sorts.
