Well she didn't kidnap her relation, he helped her
kidnap her daughter.
But I was wondering earlier, how can you be charged with kidnapping your own child who you have full custody of?

Reasonable question
To kidnap someone you must take someone without their consent and without lawful excuse. In nearly all cases of a parent 'kidnapping' their child, parental discretion would be lawful excuse. In this case, it clearly isn't.
