The more I look, the more I like this.(and I thought it was awesome on first sight)
Here's what's probably a really stupid question (with apologies): If this was physical paint, you would have to mix the colours yourself, even if you were working from a photo rather than a live model. Do you do that just the same for this, or do you sample colours from pixels or regions of the source image?
However it's done, it's lovely.
