Personally I don't think this is a thread waste although it could have been popped on top of an existing thread.
EDIT: Alhough I think that Metro is owned my the Mail.

EDIT EDIT: But on second look everyone is credited, it would have nice for them to ask though.

I can appreciate that if they had waited for replies for permission that page would have been posted in the new year when it was no longer relevant.
