# It was a Tuesday, two or three years ago
before the dark times; before CS3 and image ready being merged together, completely fucking me up :(

I have not been able to make a gif since

# Thanx for the tip . . . I'm stickin' with CS2 . . . with the splits . . .
I make mine in shop . . . but use ready to rearrange at times . . .

# I keep meaning to get a copy off amazon
but the price is still pretty high for something now 'superseded' by CS4

# I was taken aback by the merge but I now find it
so much easier just using CS3 and Save to Web and Devices...

Although opening GIFs is a pain with CS3 so I still have ImageReady CS2 loaded to import gifs.

# A pain?
I find it simply impossible, what's your method maiden?

# Well just the same as Image Ready
Create your layers then from the Windows Menu select Animation ensure that you click the little icon at the bottom right of the Animation Palette "Convert to Animation Frames" which takes you out of the Timeline Palette for Video. then animate as you would in ImageReady then Save for Web and Devices and optimise just like ImageReady.
