I KNOWbut i'm talking graphics cards. AMD is doing pretty bad at processors at the moment, but AMD/ATi is doing fine with graphics cards

ATI hardware(not oem) post Rage has been good, yes.Drivers, however, have not been good since before that time (2000ish?).
