mum wanted a new corded phone for christmas, i wander into woolies point at nice boxed phone on shelf with no price, how much says i, £1 with 30%off says youth, bag it says i, christmas sorted for the total of 70p this year, result.

i must admit i'd intended to get something else as well but it was out of stock
and this was the 24th but she was happy none the less. we're not big on all that lavish gift stuff in our family anyway, more practical sorts, get something if we need it, replace it when it breaks beyond all repair, which is probably just as well really.

I was watching Dr. Who the other day and Cathrine Tate was talking on what was meant to be a cordless phone.
It was a corded one as the angle was from the bottom of the phone as she was lying down and you could see the empty RJ11 plug.
