Yeah, it was the best sound I've ever got from a drum kit from just a clean recording.Takes the piss when you have to try and recreate a sound you had no idea how you created.

You have to trust that you'll come up with something as good or better.Which is fair enough, since you came up with something in the first place.
I think it can be a bit non-constructive sometines to try to recreate something you've lost though. It's too easy to get hung up on it, at least that's what I've found.
