Well - just 'cos we have the capacity to kill doesn't mean we should!
But meat is delicious.

That's exactly why I get pissed off with the sanctimonious - because I have a small cock.
And am secretly gay.

I do run into a few people who seem to get annoyed that people don't eat meat.
Some of them haven't even killed animals and get upset at the idea.
Poofs.

Mrs V is veggy - simply because she doesn't really like meat.
But to give up meat because of ethics is to be so.
I don't kill the animals I eat. Of course not - I live in Mordor - that would be ridiculous. I buy them from a man who provides that service for me. Just as I do - say - milk. Or water - it's amazing how many people are quite happy to drink water but don't purify it themselves.

An interesting turn of er, logic.
Why is it hypocritical or pious to eat Tofu?
(Why anyone likes it is beyond me)
Surely it is more hypocritical to like animals and then have them killed for food.
You can eat what you like and you'll never catch me actually complaining about it, people can choose.
Is having some sort of ethical belief wrong these days?

It's trying to get 'round self-proclaimed "ethics" using rhetoric that's the problem.
If you like meat, eat meat. Why give up meat to replace it with a "meat substitute" if you like eating meat?

I prefer personal ethics rather than preaching.
Example: Small number of people decide that selling anyone mortgages will get them commission (who cares about lies, telling untruths is just business/maturity), way down the line some poor bastards get to pay for it and we have a financial crisis. Ethics FAIL.
