They formed in the late 70s.Vaguely ironic retro-psychedelia was still fashionable in the 90s.
That's not the same thing as twenty year cycles.
In the 50s there were teds, who dressed in an Edwardian style, which is at least a 40 year gap.

OK well think of the music at that timeVery influenced by the 70's. Today it is the 80's with undertones of the 60's.
