# I am attempting to carry out some remedial time series econometrics, and let me assure you, it's nowhere near as fun as it sounds.
Which is why I'm also here, I suppose.

# It sounds like you're LIVING IN THE FUTURE.
Tell me of THE FUTURE.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:21, archived)

# CAN I VISIT YOU IN THE FUTURE? I'LL MEET YOU IN 2666. BRING MONEY.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:28, archived)
# We don't use money anymore. Really small moons instead.
Moons are dominant. And are you sure you want to go 2666? Bit of an uneventful year.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:29, archived)
# No moon japes in 2666?
Fine! You choose then.

# 2872 is quite a good one, the universe gets invaded sparking what's affectionately called World War 47
Though that might be better as a series finale. We are making a Doctor Who spin-off series out of this, aren't we?
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:34, archived)
# Duh we are. You be Doctor, I'll be Who.

# There is a new professor for the time series bit this year, an American guy who attempts to insert jokes into his lecture notes.
And I have literally no idea what he's talking about in this question. Bring back Smith, I say.

# I gave up half way through second year. It's so dull. I got so sick of seeing bastard coefficients everywhere.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:24, archived)
# What modules did you do in your third year?
I'm considering Metrix 2, just because I think I'll find it easier than anything else.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:26, archived)
# International, RAE, Development and UK Economic Policy
I know a couple of people who did Metrics 2, and it's exactly the same as the final few topics in second year. Not fun. UKEP was good, but mostly because it had a friendly German guy called Nicholas Wolf running it.
(, Sun 8 Feb 2009, 21:28, archived)
# I dunno, UKEP's a bit too similar to UKIP for my liking.
My endless Kilroy impressions would be the death of me.

# don't worry, economics is all made up
they'll ignore the figures you come up with anyway and go with "their gut"

besides, if you get the figures right fixing other peoples errors you'll be shouted at "DO IT RIGHT! this isn't what it's meant to look like!"

# I am making pizza. Just finished kneading the dough, which is now in a bowl under a damp tea towel.
The tomato sauce was made earlier. I shall add chorizo, jalapenos, mozzarella and halved cherry tomatoes. I have a lot of free time.
