did anyone ever play a gameprobably for the master system or megadrive that was one of these '99 games' type things. i remember i kept renting it out as a kid but every 'game' was beyond awful. bit vague in my description i suppose.

No, but my brother had something similar on the Gameboy.Bishi Bashi Special on the PlayStation, however, is excellent.
