Actually I just found out yesterday that SPONGES can get a $1500 'education rebate' for buying computer gear. The catch is you have to be on youth allowance, abstudy, veterans pension, get child endowment or similar. If you're a hard working tax payer like me, even though you're doing a proper 3 year degree in night classes, you can fucking well keep on paying taxes you rich cunt.

I didn't know about the education rebate, I wouldn't have got it anyway as I was only on youth allowance from when I finished undergrad (Nov 2008) to a couple of weeks ago when it was cut off because I was going to get a scholarship. I've been living off my savings for the past couple of weeks.
ed: the nothing for people doing nightclasses and working is fucking ludicrous. so unfair.
