# sounds interesting. i've only really played medieval TW 2 any extent.
i'll have to pop down the shops later and have a look which appeals to me most.
how do you mean the sea battles are like pirates? surely they're not so arcadey? that's the feature i'm most interested to see how they execute

but the gameplay is just the same ( not that you could alter a cannon led sea battle much )
Also I meant the last Pirates, not the original.

This is just a shot from the sea battle tutorial ( quickest way for me to get a screenie ) but in play you can have huge fleets and control each unit in the same way you do the land battles.
And yeah. Standard pirates fayre. Ball for the hul, chain for the sails and rig with grap to take down the crew. You can also board a ship and fight hand to hand if you have slowed her down enough to get the grappling hooks on.
That's great, you get the crew singing from the yards like Errol Flynn :)
