I thoroughly enjoyed itbut, in the same way as with Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, I didn't really get it until the second time I saw it, by which point it had apparently morphed from a slightly disappointing, directionless slog to a bloody hilarious instant favourite.
I don't know if this is something in the makeup of those films or my brain, but I like it.

I think you are right on that.The Royal Tennenbaums was exactly the same. First time I saw that I thought, what the fuck is this? It isn't about anything and fuck all is happening. Then I watched it again and thoughgt, Oh, there is nothing happening and it isn't about anything. And now i love it :D
