Do you have to do what shift you are given?I'll ask for an early shift, then a late shift on the Sunday.

Yeah we are ruled by the working hours directivewe can't drive a late shift one day and then switch to a morning shift the next - which pretty much means every other Sunday when going from lates to earlies we have to have a day off. So I couldn't swap a single shift I'd have to swap an entire week and nobody will give up mornings for lates - plus if I was on mornings drinking is out of the question.
