meanwhile a TJ - im trying to stick an image of a bomb door on a duck. not sure what technique i should be searching for to learn how to do this so it blends.

# just cut and paste a bomb-door* onto the duck
and fuck with the colour balance till it's right

then feathered brush eraser the edges of the pasted layer to soften the seams
