Not sure, your shadow puppets are ace, yet are too close to the same

Here. I wanted to try a couple things in Blender that came to mind, so I'll go first.
Spun bezier for the caps. Extruded cylinder and then applied a curve.
Textured with basic noise. 3 lights.
