Well it's pretty much just drawing imaginary things without reference really.Although in my defense that could be one of the places from my book. So I'll stick with that plea.

aye, it's just how concept art seems to be the new name for roughed out lighting tests or unfinished imageswhereas a concept artist is paid to convey the complete feel or mood, be that in a 10 minute, one colour pencil sketch or a 2 week 3d render job.
