My folks left me along with the dog. I think it depends on the dog.I find if cats know you're the boss they're a lot more effectonate (although they still will try and wrap you round their little fingers).

Well if you smaller or the same height of dogs they might see you as preyor competition...kids usually touch them and of course it depends of the character of the dog, but even the luvely dogs can give a warning snap.
