you can get things which are much better than chipsthere's a Serbian restaurant hidden on one of the back streets which does a mixed meat platter for two which will kill you. THAT'S how good it is... also bath tub brandy which is cheap and makes you feel great for very short periods of time and then dreadful...
the coffee is incredible the wine is fantastic... the seafood is some of the best I've ever had... the people are friendly and surly, there's loads of sexy Italians... the bus service is clean and efficient, the climate is good... it's a jarring mix of beautiful medieval walled city, burgeoning economy and dilapidated communist infrastructure...
