...where did you get that idea from?I was mearly stating, that IF i was new to that town, which I would be, and there are that many numpties walking in the road and I missed the sign because someone had a big head and was standing infront of it, I would not be expecting a pair of bollards to be jumping out underneath my car, the fact of the matter is that people do have lapses of concentration, sometimes by a kid screaming in the back (note the black thing) - its a stupid idea and dangerous

(oh and it was in regard to having cushions everywher... like modern cars - make you feel more safer with all those cushiony things like airbags and seatbelts and crumble zones - just put a great big spike on the steering wheel n watch everyone slow down...)

oh yeah,good point. I fucking hate airbags. I was in a car last week with airbags down the sides of the windscreen. Win for "crash safety" over visibility. But it gets them points in consumer something or others.
