There have been some reports of similar problems from water in plastic bottles too.
I doubt if either is a serious problem, I haven't looked into it myself.

Yes but...
... some recent experiments have shown that eating loads of KFC meals and sitting on your ass for hours on end will also grow the average male a large pair of tits.
