Yep, and that's why they get paid a very healthy salary, £60,000+ and much more if they have a ministerial role or similar.Responsibility is only one of the things which should affect pay.

That's not really a terribly good wage.Bear in mind that a minor exec in a media agency might get many times that.

It's nearly 3 times the average wage.And as a public sector job, it's really very generous for a starting salary.
