Norton's a strange one...He CAN be incredibly funny. And I was genuinely surprised by his Eurovision commentary. I thought it would be a camp explosion, but he retained Wogan's good-natured ribbing (that's RIBBING) without going OTT.
But his chat show is terrible. And 'sophisticated entertainer' is stretching it a bit.
It's probably a minority programming quota thing, like Omid Djali's show.
