# When I was teaching EFL, I found the phrase
'It's due to the Latin origin' useful in fielding any obstreporous queries.

# at the moment, the only queries I'm worried about are
"Miss, how do you say .... in French" because my answer will have to be "I'll get back to you on that later"

Maybe I should just stick to German, which I know is still fluent.
