# Crikey.
That's not bad going!

I foolishly asked my GP if the NHS could assist me with weight loss, and she said 'No. Find a private hypnotherapist or something.'

She was very helpfulshit.

# cry.
go to a male doctor, crying always makes them feel uncomfortable. say your weight makes you feel hideous, you've stopped going out because you think people are staring at you and, on bad days, you feel suicidal. this will often do the trick.

# Haha
I shall have to give that a try ;)

# NEVER buy over-the-counter weight loss drugs
they're all shit. the only ones that work are xenical and reductil
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 19:18, archived)
# I never do.
Might go in demanding the NICE-approved ones though.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 19:26, archived)
# they might give you the 10mg reductil
if you have high blood pressure, you've got no chance.

# Mebbe
that's the advantage of being overweight. We can't get too angry or we'd explode ;)

# haahaha!
my sister has very high blood pressure, but she's in a stressful job and a ton of debt. i never borrow and i don't work, so i'm quite stress-free ;)

# It's certainly the way forward.
Amazing how having a job is supposed to be a good thing ;)

# My girlfriend got some advice a while ago.
Mostly it was eat better, do more exercise. Pretty common sense really.

# Yeah
I get bored of doing that :D

# I think moving to Sheffield should be part of any weight loss plan.
With all the hills you can't help but lose weight.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 19:18, archived)
# arf!
there's a hill between mine and my mum's houses, so i'm backwards and forwards over the damn thing almost every day

# There's a nice one on my way to work.
Unless I'm at the other hospital, in which case there's a much bigger one.
It knackered me for the first few days.

# tomorrow is my big exercise day
over the hill to the post office, then on to the shopping centre, then at least 2 hours shopping. i can get everything i need in about 10 minutes, but i love shopping :)

# I usually get what I need as quickly as possible, unless it's food or CDs.
I might be going camping this weekend, in which case I'll be trying to stop my girlfriend from complaining as we walk up hills.
(, Mon 6 Jul 2009, 19:28, archived)
# i like camping
provided i'm not in a draughty tent in sub-zero temperatures, with nothing but the ground to sleep on and what i didn't know at the time was a ticking time-bomb in my stomach.

# Oh yeah, we've both had food poisoning at music festivals before.
That's a seriously unpleasant experience. The toilets are bad enough without having to go back every hour.

# that's my mum's downfall
she's a party caterer. she doesn't really eat what she's cooking, but she tends to spend all her profits on all-inclusive holidays
