I saw your remark about making the joke in Texas and manned up enough to actually read your pm, which I had assumed would be dismissive or worse (see message title) thanks again for being excellent instead.
America is the Texas of the world I'm afraid, so maybe in a way think that I am speaking from the bottom of a pit of filth and wishing we could be out of it.
Also in my defense: my state (California) recently discovered that it could vote to put discrimination into the constitution (no more gay marriage, recently discovered to be a right protected by freedom of religion, but now not so much) and it scares the shit out of me (a straight white Subgenius who might just weigh the same as a duck, you know).
Also I didn't get the reference, which is my fault.
