Fucking Left 4 Dead really occasionally freezes up for like 5 seconds at a time for no reason making it basically unplayable and completely fucking the teamworking element.
Nice going developers!

Bioshock refused to load when I got it, but it turned out to be a conflicting driver. My games work, man.

Also why the fuck do most games not seem to have a lobby system these days?
Is it some kind of conspiracy to make games shit? By putting in regenerative health, no health bars, and stupid matchmaking systems which don't work.

the twats.

I bet there isn't even an option to not render the sound either.
This wouldn't happen if they did it in OpenGL!

I think :)
or -noaudio
there's a bunch of startup options
I found that from changing from the onboard sound to a soundblaster with some russian drivers that half life went from crashing.. a lot.. predictably, and hanging, and just hanging and doing nothing
to working completely all the time
source is the only thing that fucks in this way on my machine
I suspect valve are probably using some naughty microsoft secrets for the audio that pushes less than perfect (in the area prodded) sound drivers/hardware over the edge and into fail.
of course, it's not valves fault and if you have a problem with their software you are to uninstall it and fuck off apparently.
