# Confusion is a 60 power move. A high level shark would shrug off a confusion attack, and there'd only be a 10% shot at inflicting the status on it.

Besides you want a high powered bug move to fight a water type, bug buzz or similar. Butterfree doesn't even get a STAB bonus when it uses a psychic attack.

Butterfree is a Bug Flying type, with high special attack. Sure a grass attack would get the type matchup bonus, but no STAB bonus. The only grass move that butterfree learns that could be suitable is giga drain, which is 60 attack, 90 with type match up, whereas bug buzz is 90 power, 135 with STAB. EAT IT.
