Critics (And the demo) were the reason I didn't buy it (or any recent Sonic games to mention)
Nothing past Adventure 2 has interested me enough

Cenaris I don't play Sonic. I think perhaps you should draw a shed on fire. I think perhaps everyone should draw a shed on fire.

I've only really played the old genesis ones and Adventure 1 and 2.
All the other games were either just passable or barfworthy in varying degrees.
Actually Adventure 1 sucked balls too, number 2 was great though. Had a "mature" story

I enjoyed the original game back on the megadrive
I haven't played games since then though, really.

The actual speedy-runny bits were really good.
The sweep from rear to side-on to front views worked well, and the Mykonos theme of the first level was gorgeous, especially in the side-on rushes.
But the bulk of it was the god-awful were-hog walk-around and bash buttons mode, and it was all cursed with moronically obvious and stupid unskippable pop-up interruptions from the bastard lovechild of a rejected Pokémon and the Microsoft paperclip. SEGA really knows how to fuck up a good game lately (Ghost Squad, Monkey Ball, etc. etc.)
