I'm saying you don't need to use imageready for anything at all.You can open gifs in Imageready, move them over to Photoshop and sort out the layers the way you want them in photoshop, open the Animation panel (through the 'Window' drop down list) and make frames from layers that way - it saves you pissing about in imageready at all, outside opening the gif.
You can make animations using only photoshop, and save them with the save for web panel in photoshop without having to do anything at all in imageready.
