I wouldn't name it if I were you; you'll only get emotionally attached to it, and when it reaches adulthood, the military are only going to hunt it down and try to kill it
of course it will only eat the lot of them, leaving it just you to kill it in the most silly/convoluted, but emotionally charged way for the final scene, as you know deep down, it is the only way.
