Badly misjudgedShe probably thought that the average DM reader would lap up her scurrilous poisonous shit, and generally they do. However she forgot a few basic rules:
1) the poor sod isn't even cold yet, and is awaiting burial
2) the guy was out, but was in the background, and largely away from the media circus. The sort of gay that DM readers tolerate
3) The tone was so overtly toxic that it just left a foul taste in the mouth.
She and her editor need a few basic rules in manners, and if that doesn't work, well I'm sure The Sun can help them out on the reasons why they aren't stocked in certain parts of Liverpool, over 20 years later
