# Read
or try a lightswitch. Reading in dreams is notoriously difficult because if you try and reread a passage it will almost always have changed. It's also common for lightswitches to not work -- or not work properly.

I decided I'd not investigate the psychology of the dream I had. It was disturbing enough as it was.

# I used to have recurring nightmares as a child about electrical equipment
Whatever the piece of equipment it would gain a life of its own and be unstoppable. When I was in college I read as much Jung as I could stand - I just kept getting bogged down in all the mandala stuff as I obviously couldn't make the same connections there as he could.

# Jung was making shit up
So was Freud.

I am told this by people who have studied, and then grown disillusioned with, their approaches to psychology.

Me, I know jack shit. I'm just glad I barely have any nightmares anymore. I used to have one as a child that came night after night and was something to do with a swimming pool in a house at the bottom of my street. I have no idea what scared me.
