I WORKED IT OUT!Define the squares as pattern, then use the fill tool. Thanks for help people.

ahits possible, but i can't remember how you do it. :( so just look in "help" and it might be there.
or just use the default "tiles-smooth" pattern fill and colour it in.

It's in edit/define pattern in CS2.Then you can select pattern fill with the fill tool and it'll be in the list of patterns you can choose from.
