Aww poor Barry :(
I totally agree with him about the diary though. I always panicked when someone gave me a diary when I was a kid knowing I would only ever get through the first week (if lucky). Even later when I had to buy a diary for work appointments I had that frisson of dread on first opening it.

poor little bunny *hug*
my meh ness about diaries stems from the fact that I knew my mum picked the lock on my sister's.

I know that temptation too.
My three stepdaughters all kept diaries when they were little and the level of trust in our house was such that they never locked their doors when out and their stuff like all kids was all over the place.
I never nagged them about tidying their rooms but they knew I went in there to collect laundry & used crockery so I guess they felt safe in leaving their diaries wherever they dumped them.
I am proud to say I never opened any of them not even once but the willpower I had to exercise to achieve that surprises me to this day.

Both, I guess!
I guess!I have a surprising lack of willpower and had anyone put this scenario to me as a "what if" I would have said my scruples would have gone immediately out the window at the temptation of reading an unattended repository of all things secret. Especially if the possibility of my being mentioned existed in any way.
I can be all smug and sanctimonous about it now though he he he.
