the double-headed eagle dates back to the Hittites, 20th-13th century B.C. And then look at Iraq, where it all began, Saddam Hussein thinking he's the new Nebuchadnezzar, reconstructing the hanging gardens of Babylon and whatnot. And then Zionism. Exposure to the wider world 1600+ makes an impact that changes the tone for me. I've
