thanks...and i don't tell it to dither - it just does it :-)
the gifs are made in flash and the only dithering option i have is to dither solid colours which is currently unchecked... before the board i would make swfs not gif so may be doing something silly... any ideas?

Sadly notI don't use Flash, so I gots no clue... I think it's just how it works.
Ah well, it's not like your pics are ever too big, just was hoping to help ya get them down even more :-)

i use flash occasionallybut theres no optimisation, have to import into imageready afterwards
