why can't they just have a crappy circle thing like everybody elseor, as it is a university, a crappy circle thing like everybody else with a coat of arms.

We're not allowed to use the coat of arms.Actually forbidden. We have to use the childishly drawn 'shield' logo, but then only on approval.
